About Us
Community Living
It’s our pleasure to get to know our residents, and help them retain their independence and remain connected in community programs and stay involved in the activities, clubs, sports and personal interests that they enjoy. We offer a wide variety of onsite and offsite activities to maintain our residents’ physical wellbeing and intellectual and creative interests. Participation in all activities, whilst encouraged, is always voluntary.
Our activities programs include:
- Low impact exercise programs
- Music therapy program
- Art and craft opportunities
- Social programs, events, outings and walking groups
- Special celebratory meals
- Resident gardening spaces
- Knitting, reading, conversation and cooking activities
- Bingo, games and movies
- Regular visiting live entertainment for morning and afternoon tea
Community living FAQs
What is assisted living, and who is it for?
Assisted living provides accommodation and practical help with daily living, so people who can no longer manage at home can keep enjoying a comfortable, fulfilling life. At Gracevale Lodge, every resident has their own private, fully-furnished room and 24-hour personalised support, within a friendly community of people in their 20s onwards with low-level support needs and those who are aged or frail.
What activities do you offer, and can residents suggest their own?
We run a regular program of physical, cultural and social activities — low-impact exercise, walking tours, music therapy, art and craft, gardening, conversation and cooking, and visiting entertainment. Everything is voluntary, and we always welcome residents’ ideas and feedback for new activities and events that suit their interests.
Do you offer short-term stays?
Yes — we offer short-term stays from a few weeks up to a few months, with the same inclusive programs and warm welcome, so even a short-stay resident feels genuinely part of our community. Talk to us about what you need.
